SO SORRY

OK, I know it has been FOREVER since I have posted anything on here but we have been crazy busy this summer. Between camping, silverwood (yes twice, dont ask its a long story) and the cabin I dont think we have stopped all summer.

Braden has started middle school and things are starting to get in a little bit of a routine. We wont ever be completley normal but as soon as the walk is over next weekend I may be able to eat dinner with my family again. I am so sick of ham sandwhichs but I found out the hard way the I have to eat before I walk so that is the fastest thing to make and eat.

I am so glad that I have taken this journey. I havent even completly ruled out doing it again next year. It forces me to take time to myself and reflect which, if you have children, you know that never happens. I am so thankful that I have the husband I do because if it wasnt for him this would have never happened. He is so used to calling me everyday at four and asking, with no complaints, if I am walking because he needs to pick up Cassie and take care of dinner for them. I have not heard him grumble once. Now then again hunting season is right around the corner so I am sure the above may end during that time which is fine with me because my "walking season" lasted a lot longer than his time. Braden is also VERY involved in Scott's hunting so he will be gone also.

Anyway on to the walk...Dawn and I a very prepared for our journey but I dont know if we are ready yet. We just realized yesterday that we are staying in a 2 person tent for two nights and we both have king size beds at home that we LOVE. Hopefully no one comes away with any major bruises, I am told that I am a little restless in bed :). We also decided just this morning that we are going to have a back up plan. Mom and Ross have both reserved hotel rooms near the park we are staying at so if all else fails we may be on the phone with them begging for rescue. We are really going to try to rough it though.

Most people you talk to about the 3-Day say it is amazing experience, I am really looking forward to that and the time with my sister, so all the other stuff should just be minimal. The one thing I cant get off my mind is the shower situation (its just minimal, its just minimal, its just minimal....thats what I am telling myself), I have heard that they have multiple showers in a truck trailer.....huh.....yeah thats what I said also. I am not a short shower taker and am not one of the moms that can walk around naked at the public pool in the locker room so this may be interesting. I kind of feel like I am in my first day of PE in middle school again. I know everything is going to turn out great and I will be pleasantly surprised, even with the shower situation.

Anyway I knew that I was really lacking in the blog department so here it is nothing big but somthing is better than nothing.

I forgot to add that Dawn and I are both over $3500 in the funds we have raised. Thank you to anyone and everyone for helping us acheive our goal, we couldnt have done it without our family and friends.
